The end of the game is triggered in one of two ways:
A player has completed legions in all 5 colors. This player gains 5 VPs for triggering the end of the game in this manner.
A player draws the last Army card. After the last card is drawn, no player may gain 5 VPs for completing legions in all 5 colors.
After the end of the game is triggered, the active player finishes their turn as normal. Then all other players take 1 final turn.
Scoring points at the end of the game:
Look at all your black Legion dice connected to each other by arrows. For each connected pair, you may change the value of one of these dice to the value of the other. Usually, you will want to change it to the higher value.
Check if any of your red Commander dice are linked to black Legion dice via arrows. If so, these Commanderdice count as victory points. They are counted only if there is a Legion die in the linked square.
Add up the values of all your black Legion dice, as well as the values of any red Commander dice linked to Legion dice.
Add the VP rewards of the Objective cards you were able to fulfill. Some of the objective cards are played openly during the game and give you points during the game.
Add your VP tokens (i.e. as obtained from face-up Objective cards during gameplay).
Gain 5 VP if you triggered the end of the game by completing legions in 5 different colors. If the game was triggered by taking the last card of the Army deck, and you completed your 5th colored legion after the end game was triggered in this way, you do not get 5 VP.
Example: Taylor ended the game with 5 Legion dice (values of 1, 3, 3, 4, 6) and 3 Commander dice (values of 2, 4, 5). For her Legion dice, the 1 is connected to a 3, and the other 3 is connected to the 6. Because these dice are connected via arrows, she turns the 1 to a 3, and the other 3 is turned to a 6. Now she has Legion dice with values 3, 3, 4, 6, 6. She adds up her Legion dice to score 24 points. She looks to see if any of her Commander dice are connected to any Legion dice via arrows. Her red 5 Commander die is the only one connected to a Legion die, so she adds 5 points to her total, giving her 29 points.
Next, she checks her Objective cards and scores 7 points for completing one of them. She did not meet the requirements of the other Objective card. She had no additional VP from other Objectives or bonuses, but she did complete legions in 5 different colors to trigger the end of the game, so she gains 5 additional points. She adds 7 and 5 to her current score to give her a final score of 41 Victory Points.
